The Haydukes are an original band based out of New Haven and Clinton, CT. Drawing on the best of Alt Country and Americana roots, their songs also confront nostalgia in its many forms, pushing past both good-old-days-dreaming and the desire for a time when the fight against wrongdoing somehow seemed more straightforward. The Haydukes follow in the tradition of other groups with mixed European and Native backgrounds, such as The Band, and dedicate their music to telling the stories of land and kin, of human frailties, and of the rich, fraught fabrics of society across the continent.
